need to know
« on: October 05, 2007, 11:07:38 AM »
Hi everyone , my first post and I am new to this stuff so thanks for your time... although I am new to the cnc world I have been cutting vinyl and films for heat pressing on garments for some time .      I am looking at cnc machines for the purpose of making Rhinestone templates,, by this I mean drilling very small mm holes to a certain depth to put the stones arranged in certain single line fonts and patterns that are sent to me by customers and they come in all sorts of file formats,, these holes need to be assigned to the line pattern in certain size and spacing automaticaly kinda of like text to path but with holes,,  my question is does anyone know of a software out there that will do this without breaking the pocket book,, I already have corelx3 and that program will not do it without extensive work, and also will not do single line fonts,, my second question is how easy is the mach 3 to operate??      sorry for the long winded post but I had to try to explain what I want to do..

Thanks in advance

That could be done in Lcam if you think you need to have it... it is simple to output points X dist appart on a path
Fixing problems one post at a time ;)

You will need to use lazy cam to produce your code for Mach to run. You need to take a look at the videos in the tutorils section and play with Lazy Cam to see what all it can do for you.

;D If you could see the things I have in my head, you would be laughing too. ;D

My guard dog is not what you need to worry about!
