Checking steps
« on: October 09, 2020, 09:09:32 PM »
I have a custom cnc router machine. The size is 5'x5' running windows 10 and mach3. I'm trying to check the steps in the Z axis. I put in 1" when it asked how far do i want to go. It goes up and does not stop, I have to use the E-stop. What could be causing this? I made sure i'm in inch mode too.

I assume you are using the Axis Calibration function.

Try a smaller distance (0.25 for example) until you are gettin movement within your axis travel limits then follow the calibration procedure.
Increase the distance for the final calibration setting.
