I am having a problem with a retrofit using mach3
« on: September 07, 2020, 05:54:20 PM »
When trying to run a program using a wizard my Z will only go in the positive direction. Could this be something in Mach3? My wiring seems to be right and I can control the Z with the page up and page down. It seems to be in the program or something I have done wrong with the Mach 3. Help please

Have you zeroed z on the material surface yet?

Perhaps the wizard was setting the origin with Z0 at the bottom of the material? Check if that is the case.
This is often done in pocketing or 3D work where to of the material is machined away.
