UC300ETH Analog Output 2 setup
« on: September 22, 2020, 11:04:07 AM »
Hello.
I bought the UC300ETH board because it has a lot of I / O and for the second analog output, but my problem is that I don't know how I can control that output from mach 4.
The only thing I can relate to is the output variable.
I want to use that output for the live tool motor.
Can someone help me with setting these pins.
Thanks.

just question ,for what you need 2 analog output?

Hello
First analog output is for the main spindle, and can change that even if I use OB1, and second analog output I want to use it for live tool( motorized tool).

the main spindle and "live tool" activate same time?

Hi
That would mean that the two have the same speed, but what happens if I want to mill, drill, meaning that the main spindle is off !
The main spindle will be on output OB1, but even so if I activate in the plugin setting window, PWM, I will have output on the pins set for OB1 as well as on the analog output 1.
Theoretically, all I have left is to set the variables for the analog outputs, and I have no idea how to do it.

Hi
The Machine is Cincom Citizen L20.
I will use one PC with Mach4 for the X1 Y1 Z1 C1 axes, end one PC for X2 Z2 C2, which is ok so far, but I need an output for the live tool servomotor, for which I will have to use an analog output.
The problem with the analog outputs on the UC300ETH controller is that they are given by some variables 114 and 115.
If at analog output 1 I check the PWM box, it deactivates my variable 114 and activates the output when the spindle start code (M3S ....) is given, outputs between 0V and 10V depending on the S command.
Even if I use the OB1 axis for the main spindle and use the selected pins for that axis, but I leave the PWM box selected, on the analog output1 I still have the voltage given by the S command (Ex. If M3S5000 - analog output = 5V)
If I deselect the PWM box on the analog output 1 I have no voltage on the output, but the variable 114 becomes active.
I can go with the unchecked PWM box, but how can I use any of the analog outputs of the board, I don't know how I can control the output through the variable.
I hope I've explained well enough that you can get an idea of what I need !
