Chinese breakout board BSMCEO4U-PP
« on: September 09, 2020, 01:31:52 PM »
I am new to CNC.

I had a Bobs CNC for several months, I learned a great deal about designs and running jobs on the CNC.

I have made a lot of items on my old CNC, but wanted to get into carving 3D items instead of making signs and plaques.

The Bobs CNC's gantry was not stiff enough to go through hardwoods, it would jump and miss cuts.

So, I recently purchased an aluminum Chines CNCEST 6090 with a stiff gantry.

I use Vcarve Pro as my CAD software.

I have windows 7pro 32 bit

Chinese breakout board:  BSMCEO4U-PP

I have configured Mach3 ports and pins, and motor tuning according to the manufacturer's instructions.

I am having a very hard time getting anything to run correctly?

I can jog around, set material "0", and load the Gcode.

When I hit start cycle, it barely moves.

I have tried several different Post Processors through Vcarve Pro.

Gcode inch
Grbl inch
NC Studio ATC inch *nc
NC Studio CC ATC inch *nc
NC  Studio ATC ARCS mm
Mach 2/3 Arcs inch

Can anyone tell me which post processor is best suited for this board?

Any advise or helpful tips and tricks will be greatly appreciated.

I really need help with this.

A couple of things come to mind...

Use the Vectric PP Mach2/3 Arcs Inch.
Check that you have Vectric set-up in Inches (not mm) when you create the image.

Check that you have set-up Mach3 in Inches.
Use the Steps per Unit calculator (Diagnostics page) to check that you have each of your axis steps set correctly.
Check that you do not have G21 in your Initialization String (Config / General Config.).

Tweakie.
PEACE

I am also new to cnc and have same setup,windows7 32bit licensed mach3,vcarve pro ,china6090 mach2/3arcs{inch}{*.txt}pp, am having similar problem in that I can generate tool path ,go to file ,import ,import vectors and that's as far as things go normally. Get a message-Failed to find data on installed version of mach, next message is-Failed to find running instance of mach .Cant seem to get computer to talk to controller. I can jog x y and z + and spindle runs as it should. In between hurricanes I have watched all videos and used every config that there is. I am at my wits end and ready to throw in the towel. Reading other post kinda thinking about bsmceo4u-pp being the problem .thanks for any and all help.

Are you trying to send G-code directly to the Mach3?
Make no mistake between my personality and my attitude.
My personality is who I am.
My attitude depends on who you are.

Yuo should do a search on Vectric forum also.
