No.

Mach3 is only suitable for use with Win7 or earlier OS.

Hi,
slight amplification:

Mach3's parallel port will run on 32 bit Windows7 or earlier and does not like laptops.

Mach3 will run on any Windows 10 PC including laptops BUT ONLY IF you use an external motion controller
like an Ethernet SmoothStepper or a UC300.

Thanks Craig, I forgot to mention using an external motion controller is different to using the Parallel Port.

Hello, I'm new in the site and in CNC world, and we got our first CNC yesterday, and we can't make it work with Mach3 on win7 and 32 bits as the instructions say. But I tried my win10 64bits laptop and it worked. The CNC is a X8-2200L and has MACH3 dedicated USB Motion Control Card.
Is this what you mean?? Are we safe using W10 or is it going to malfunction?
I just answered here instead of in a new thread because it's so so related with my issue, I hope it's not an inconvenience.
Thank you so much for your time and sorry about my rusty english.

Hi RaTa360,

If it works OK with your laptop and Win10 then no problem, just keep using it.  ;)

The only thing to look out for is that the power saving features of laptops (and possibly Win10 itself) can interrupt the data flow between the computer and the machine. If you experience a problem then start a new thread and we will see how the issue can be resolved.

Thank you very much, we will try.
Our main worry is the fact that in the tutorials it's been said "only for 32 bits" like 7 times.
But let's see how the next few days go.
Thanks again for your help, really appreciated.

I am using an uc300. The problem now is mach3 will only open in demo mode. I downloaded mach3 and dropped my license file in but it still comes up in demo mode.
