Tripping Limit Switches
« on: June 04, 2020, 09:11:03 PM »
Hi,
I have an Industrial CNC 4x8 machine with spindle. Using BobCAD/CAM software with Mach3. I am having issues with tripping limit switches. The tripping is not consistent but sometimes occurs frequently. Resetting does not always solve the problem. I have been backtracking a line or two or G-code and using the "run from here" and it may take more than one attempt but it will go through. I also get "missing words" error messages. Here again I would backtrack a line or two of G-code and use the "run from here option" and eventually it would go through. For both of these error message sometimes after I reset and try the "run from here" option the machine will go rogue and go off in a undetermined direction including backwards.
I don't know what I should be doing to resolve these issues. Thanks

If you have mechanical switched it could be you need to up the debounce in config. or it could be noise on the switch wires, they should be twisted pair shielded with the shield grounded at one end only.

Or it could be a loose connection that is triggered by the cutting resonance.
