Author Topic: Feed rate runnng slower then the selected and set feed rate?  (Read 1024 times)

Hi there!
My Mach3 CNC is not running at the posted feed rate. My motors are tuned for 1900 mm per minute velocity and 270mm for excel. My post script is telling the machine to run at 1800 but it only cuts at 1673.95 mm
Per minute? Even if I over ride the setting it still only cuts at 1673.95mm
I’m using Fusion 360 for the cad cam and post processing.
My Mach3 screen shows that the program is supposed to run at 1800.
Any thoughts on this?

Thanks
Glen

Are you running parallel port, if so you might need to up the pulsing rate from the default 25000 to 35000
Without engineers the world stops

Yes I’m running parallel port, I’ll give that a try!

Thanks

Try setting your kernal speed to the next higher setting.  I would be willing to bet that is the resolution you are looking for

Yes that’s what I ended up doing and it did allow it to run faster.
