VistaCNC P2-S4 CNC Control Pendant for Mach4
« on: May 16, 2020, 10:03:31 AM »
Purchased a VistaCNC Pendant the other day,  so far, I am very happy with it,  it seems to be very responsive, lots of nice features, and easy as it gets to install and get working. Just had to load the latest firmware in it, simple point and click,  then copy the plugin files to the Mach plugin folder and restart Mach4, that's it.
Previous I was using a shuttlePro with some occasional odd behavior,  i like this much better already,

  :) :D ;D >:( :( :o 8) ??? ::) :P :-[ :-X :-\ :-* :'(

I've had that same one, P2, for years. These work very well.

I have a P3. which replaced a 1 series ( don't drop it off the mill to the hard floor ) don't ask how I know  it damaged the hand wheel

that aside they work very good bit tricky to get the update done for mach4  you   have to hold the hand wheel in mid notch position to get the loader to work but hey its only a one off job

the only note as mentioned on their site is the estop button it only sends a estop to mach 4 , it s not a industry safe way as it does not remove power to the machine but there is a add on to do just that if your need is in and industrial setting

they do what they say on the tin

oh boy, I don't want to drop it.   They do now have offer a model with a suffix E that connects to a remote j-box that provides a hardwired estop, i didn't go that route as mine is for home/personal use.

Hi,
I've had a P1A for six years, first with Mach3 then about five years ago swapped to Mach4.

At that time the VistaCNC Mach4 plugin was not particularly straight forward but I did get it to go
and its performed flawlessly ever since. Money well spent.
