Author Topic: Can I display the MDI or Toolpath screen on a separate monitor  (Read 1960 times)

Hi,

I'm asked if I can show the MDI Alt2 or Toolpath Alt4 screens on a separate monitor. This is for educational purposes to show the scrolling code. Is this at all possible on a Mach3 setup, or can it be implemented through coding?

I would be using in this in conjunction with two mirrored workstation screens, with keyboards and mice but will done using vga and usb splitters. One directly at the cnc and other outside its immediate enclosure.

Thanks

Hi,
this was discussed on the Mach4 forum fairly recently.

There is way to display a toolpath, or other panel of data on a second monitor, not especially straight forward
but possible.

I have played a Little bit arround, you can a custom Screen witch has the double width of your single Monitor and enlarge the Mach3 window over your two Monitors.
thean you can have (by copy paste) both on the new Screen.
