New user needing help
« on: February 18, 2020, 07:15:40 AM »
Hi , Im a guitar builder and just bought my 6040 usb cnc , running Mach 3 on windows XP. All arrived and built today . Turn it all on and hit Reset and nothing happens when i use direction keys . Axis motors appear powered on but I can seem to get anything to move. EMO button is out .
Anyone like to advise me please.

Well as far as i can tell the PC doesn't see that the controller is plugged in so I guess it means the driver isn't installed even though I have reloaded it a few times .
Is this a issue with these tools ?
Anyone know how to resolve this ?

When you first started mach3 did it ask which motion controller to use?

I think these use the RnRMotion.dll plugin so that is the one to select they will also have included a XML file and probably a pirate licence that has strange side effects.  I suggest you buy a real one.
