Motor only turns one direction
« on: February 05, 2020, 09:22:19 PM »
Newbie here. Working the initial configuration and the motor will only turn one direction, Mach3 Program Run page shows numbers increasing and decreasing. Using a laptop USB to UC100 to breakout board to DM542T drivers to stepper motor. I'm only troubleshooting one drive, once I get this working then I'll work on the others.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@natefoerg,
Thank you for the reply. It turned out I did not have those configured correctly. I went by an incorrect video that had me using +5v for the PUL+ and DIR+ pins with the pulse and direction wires going to the PUL- and DIR- pins. The correct way is to have gnd going to the PUL- and DIR- with the pulse and direction wires going to PUL+ and DIR+.
This is all a big learning curve so thank you again for the help!
