Slave motor not working with primary motor
« on: January 29, 2020, 12:04:08 PM »
I have the axis mapping set up like the following:
X(0)  Motor0  Motor3
Y(1)  Motor1
Z(2)  Motor2

However, only Motor0 works when I jog in the X direction
I hooked my Mach3 back up and it works fine??

I am using PMDX-411 Smart Bob interface...

I have other issues, but I will start a new topic...

Thanks,
Ron

Slaved axes work fine with Mach4 and the PMDX-411. Please send us a "Packaged Profile" from your Mach4 system so we can confirm that your configuration is set up correctly.

You create the "Packaged Profile" in Mach4 using > Help > Support > Create Packaged Profile

Save the file in a known location on your Windows computer and then send it to PMDX as an attachment to an email message.

Ron has now discovered that his problem was not that the slave motor was not running, but rather that it was trying to run in the wrong direction, fighting the primary. Changing the direction of the slave has fixed his problem.
