« on: October 12, 2019, 12:03:25 AM »
I am trying to make the move from Mach 3 to Mach 4 but i cant seem to get the plugin for my motion controller to load. Has anyone on here used the zulifeng mach 3 (leafboy 77) USB motion controller with Mach 4 or is it not compatible with mach 4???

Hi,
at the current time there is one and one only Chinese made (XHC) Mach4 ready motion controller....and it does not work
properly....avoid like the plague.

The only working and worthy Mach4 ready motion controllers are US or European made. Like Stuart I favor the
Ethernet SmoothStepper by Warp9TD.

Even IF your time is only worth $.10/hr the Chinese motion controllers will cost WAY more than an ESS! Get one, even if only for Andy's great support, but even without that they just work and work great.

OH, and the move to Mach4 is a great move, just don't expect it to be Mach3, the biggest newcomer obstacle!

+1 for the Warp9TD Ethernet SmoothStepper. Great product and great service from Andy!

Out of the box, Mach 4 runs beautifully, worth the price for sure.

For custom features, If you have done VBA scripting in Mach 3 you may find LUA a bit of a learning curve. After getting through it, it is apparent that Mach 4 is just built very intelligently and there really aren't any limitations on what you can do.
