Tabbing - How To....

Maybe I'm just still asleep, but I can't seem to figure out the "tab" feature.  Simple offset of polyline then tab....

Hi, Stan

Click on a Chain, It turns red, In the Info box below "Extents of Chains" there is a Tab button click on it, Enter Info.

Seems to work Nice Hear.

Hope this Helps, Chip

Let me start by saying "My name is Chris and I am a Newbie"

Is a TAB what hold a part to the original?  Meaning if I were to cut a circle frorm a piece of stock, the tabs would be uncut pieces so the circle doesn't get completely cut from the material?  I hope that makes sense.  Just trying learn here....thanks.

"Hello .... Gulp ... My name is Brian and I am no longer a newbie.... I now feel that my stature (Non Newbie) no longer hold me in high regard because the knowledge level of the new newbies is to HIGH! "

You got it man! that is how it works...

Thanks Brian.

I'm going to have to play with that feature some more.  I created a simple square as a DXF, imported in to LCAM and then tried to create tabs.  I must be missing something b/c it didn't seem to do anything.  I saw part of the square turn (blue or red, dont' recall) but when I zoomed in it looked just like a complete line -- no tab.  I'll keep trying.
