Feedrate problem
« on: August 18, 2007, 04:30:24 PM »
Hello,
enclosed you will find 2 Mach3 configuration files and sample G-code file. Mach3 configured to Mach3Mill_s.xml mills significantly slower in contrast to Mach3Mill_q.xml configuration file. Very noticable on large pockets.

Can anybody help me to identify parameter to correct this behaviour?

Thanks,
Petr Kremla

You have less accel on the Y axis in one XML

Hello Brian,
you are right, but less accel is in "quicker" configuration file. The acceleration values in "slower" file are same for X an Y axis.

Thanks,
Petr

Other then that all the settings are the same... I did check all of your CV settings as well.

Hello Brian,
Yes I know. Did you try to simulate milling (you will see diferences in feed rates)?

However, here is workaround. You have to create configuration file in older Mach3 version (R2.2). Put new configuration file to the folder of the new Mach3 (R2.41). In this case everything works as expected.

Looks there are differences in interpretation of the configuration files.

Thanks,
Petr

Have a look at the amount of lookahead under the general config.

There are same values in each configuration file i.e. 20 lines.

Thanks,
