I have only been using mach 3 For about a week so im still new to it, but not to CNC machining. The problem I am having is when I try to edit G-code all it does is analize it again, the little window no longer opens up for me.

At first it worked fine, but now even with my first couple programs it will not work, I have to clear it from my active program and edit it outside Mach 3 and then reload it again. It is a major pain in the butt, and I didnt change any settings that I know off that would effect it.

Any help would be appreciated, I am sure its something right in front of my face but I cant figure it out for the life of me.

Hi Chuck,

Mach has no editing feature built into it, it uses Notepad or Wordpad to do this.

Click the edit button in Mach and the NC code should be loaded into the external editor, edit the code and click Save and the code will go back into Mach.
