PMDX122 + CSD205-H stepper driver!
« on: January 18, 2019, 08:46:02 AM »
Hi all,
It has been a while since my last visit, how are you all?
Ok, I’m facing some difficulty making the stepper motor turn using PMDX122, here are some pics of the PMDX, stepper driver and Mach3 screenshot:

Can someone please point out if the jumper settings on Pmdx122 are correct?

for me the Jumper Settings on the pmdx look ok.
i assume you have checked the alt pwr in ?
what stepper Drivers do you use?
what are the led's (step/dir) doing if you try to jog?
you have a real parallel port , not a emulated one ?
you are using win7/32bit ?

Hi TPS,
The alternative power is supplied by a adaptor of 12v 2000mA.
The stepper driver is a CSD205-H (a Chinese driver):
http://www.1111motor.com/download/CSD205.pdf
The LED of the step/dir stays green solid when I jog.
About the pararell port I’m getting a feeling that there’s no signal coming out from the PC lot. This PC is win 7. I then swap to a 2nd PC win 10 OS still cannot jog the motor, could it be the PMDX board?

if you are using a real parallel port you have to use win7/32bit or below.
are you using a real PP ?

until the step/dir leds don't Change state i think there is nothing commeing from PP

is the port adress set correctly?

Ok, win7 32bit or below, got it!.
How to determine if the PC LPT is real or not?, I had checked the device manager—-> LPT1—>property—->resource—>0x378.
Let me switch to Win7 32bit then see what happens,

Thx

Just a note...

If you can't run DriverTest.exe (in the Mach3 folder) then Mach3 will not run with the Parallel Port on that particular PC.

Tweakie.
PEACE

Thank you guys!.
Will run the DriverTest.exe first the jog to see I the stepper motor turns, and of course with dip switch 8 on.
If if still does not turn, will change the ZoS to Win7 32 bit.
