Z 0 being reset in G-Code
« on: December 06, 2018, 01:30:28 PM »
 ???
I have started noticing that when I run my G-Code, the first Z action is to move Z up. Then Z zero is SET to 0, not to G54 Z zero. I end up cutting air.
I'm on a Grizzly G8689 CNC running Mach3.

I made one part with the attached code then this issue started.
Reload Mach3?

I think others have posted this but Search is not working so I can't find the threads.

Need help.

I am not making the change to Z 0, it is occurring in G-code or Mach3.

Maybe the G43 tool length offset?

ger21 or Gerry,

That was it. I removed the G43 from the file and it is now cutting. I checked the .pst file and it has been on from day 1 so I wonder why it started taking effect.

To remove this from future nc files, do I change the quoted G43 with double quotes? ""

Thanks Gerry,
