USB Ecut card issues
« on: December 03, 2018, 01:12:01 PM »
Hello all,
I've recently installed a Ecut USB motion card. But I have some serious issues with it. When I start mach3 and use the parallel port option on startup then the program works fine and all functions work.
But when I start up and select the ecut USB driver I get troubles. Jogging works but I don't get movement when I type gcode in the MDI nor do I get movement when running a gcode file.
Can someone please tell me what is going wrong?
When i type X10 for instance nothing happens. When i type F50 the feed rate does change. Can it have something to do with homing etc? maybe some simple software setting?

I have noticed that the MDI does work in the Mill screen set but not with a lathe screen set! It doesn't matter if i start with a lathe user profile, as soon as i open a mill screen set the mdi works
and X and Z commands are executed.

I found a few problems that caused some of the problems;

- I installed another custom lathe screen.

-I had selected external FRO (feed override) on the configuration of the Ecut plugin. But I haven't connected a potmeter jet.

Now the MDI works and I can execute gcode files.

But I still have some issues with the shuttle express configuration.
It is not jogging from fast to slow when I turn the outer ring. It strangely only jogs at the speed of which you turn it.
