Scaling G-code problem
« on: November 27, 2018, 07:14:14 PM »
Is there any way to scale a g-code file after it's been loaded into Mach3? I size the image before converting to g-code but this must not have anything to do with how large an are the CNC machine will engrave.

I use the 2L engraving program and everything works as it should so there's no problem with Mach3 or the CNC. Importing an image an sizing it is no problem but it cuts on both sides of the lines. This is a common problem for people that want to engrave. You have to do a centerline trace of an image before converting to g-code. It took a bit of work but I've got that all sorted out but now there's the scaling issue.

Hi,

Use the X and Y Scale DRO's.  1.0000 = full size, 0.5000 = half size, etc., etc. (enter your value then press the Enter key)

If you then Regen. the Toolpath the Toolpath window shows your Program Extents so you can check the size of your finished work.
