Starting Mach3 Mill Causes Computer to Reboot
« on: November 27, 2018, 12:31:53 PM »
Had been working fine but now causes computer to reboot with "safe mode", "normally etc options.
Any idea what is causing this inability to run Mach3 Mill?
Thanks for any help

Hi,
I assume you are using Windows7 32bit? If so then recent updates to Windows7 from Microsoft screw up Mach's
parallel port. You have to:
1) Fresh install of Windows7 and then don't let it be updated  OR
2) Unwind the last four or so updates   OR
3) Buy yourself an external motion controller like a SmoothStepper or a UC300.

Yes, I'm running Windows 7.  How can I unwind the last four updates?
Thanks.
