Did you try one of the limit overrides?

Hi Gerry

Now that you mention it ... how do you cancel the 'override limits' toggle when in simulation mode? I was exploring ... and now I cannot get the red LED to stop flashing! Restart Mach3 is always possible...

For Adam: if I hit a Limit switch too fast I cannot always back off. So I hit the big red eStop button (which disables the motor drivers), twiddle the ball screw, re-enable Mach3 and reset the zero.

Cheers
Roger
Thanks for input guys, im fairly new to cnc, i know a bit now but no Pro

My CNC X and Y is on Belt driven! So when i hit Hard Limit i just cant reset no matter what! The only way i can do it is by Forcefully Pushing the axis away from my limit switch?

There must be a way? i did try the limit override as seen in my video link

:(

Perhaps your controller doesn't properly support the limit overrides? just a guess.
They've always worked fine for me using the parallel port.

To get real help, it is best to list out your system and maybe include a photo. The possibilities are endless you see.

???I did not think photos would help as was hoping someone could just tell me what i was doing wrong but a piccie says a thousand words

My BOB is a Nvem CNC USB Output board!

and limit switches are Osisense ones they work okay though but nothing works!

my controller box is all wired okay i think still grounding to do, but my limit switches are fine and i dont get random emergency stops,

Its just i can move off the hard limits, osisense switches after ive hit them, the mach3 says Reset but no matter what i do it doesnt reset!

I'd be inclined to blame it on the chinese controller.

Im Starting too think this myself, I wonder whats a suitable alternative? thats not crazy in price that goes with my other bits?

Im also thinking a lot to do with it being a USB model
