Pul and Dir pins short
« on: September 12, 2018, 06:48:51 AM »
Hello

I have a USB mach3 board. Recently I have started facing the issue, that the Pul and Dir pins for the X, Y and Z axis are short on the board. Also the A axis pins are not short. Is this how it is supposed to be or is my board messed up.

Note: I am only using the X, Y and Z axis for my CNC

Thank You

Hi,
how do you mean 'short on the board'?

They shouldn't be like that. Without manufacturers support who knows.
I have recommended to you before to buy a recognized brand....I do so again.

By short i mean that they are continuous. I tested it out with a multimeter. And as far as a different board goes, I am stuck with this one currently. If it turns out to be completely hopeless, then I will be moving onto a different board.

SO if we tell you it is completely hopeless, will you move onto a reliable board right now instead of fighting this one?

FYI, it is completely hopeless!

Hi Fusco96,
I hope I din't drive you away with my sense of humor!

All kidding aside, having gone down the road of using some of the less desirable boards, we are trying to save you a lot of pain and time.

I am a big fan of the Hiconn, although some people balk at the price. I now have a Pokeys 57CNC which I like. There are others as well.

The theme here is to do your research first and then buy something that will give you what you want for years to come.
