WIN XP Optimisation

Hi,
I tried to optimize XP on Asus P5KPL-AM SE Mainboard and have plenty problems.
Question: Is it necessary to do this on newest mainboards?
What really we get?

In most cases, it was never necessary, unless Mach3 didn't work well to start with. If Mach3 is running fine, there is no benefit.
