Mach4 crash system
« on: July 06, 2018, 03:08:14 AM »
Hi.
I'm new to this world. To start I installed Mach4 and the parallel plugin downloaded directly from the site.
On the pc with win7pro 32bit with parallel pciexpresa. As soon as you start "darwin test" the pc will restart without giving me error messages.
I redid the same thing on another pc not the same operating system but parallel integrated into the motherboard. Same problem. Where am I wrong?

I will thank those who will help me.

Hi,
some people who use the parallel port and Mach3 have reported similar problems with the latest (three updates to my knowledge) MS updates.
It may be that Mach4's parallel is similarly affected.

The Darwin parallel port works OK, or at least has done, but there are features like lathe threading and THC that it doesn't have, nor will it ever have them.
Mach4 when it was first devised was always supposed to be operated with an external motion controller. To get the best of Mach4 I think you will have
to buy a suitable controller.
