It would be way more helpful if you describe what you are trying to do.

we need to control 2 milling heads each has 3 axis they need to run simultaneously on the same part we might be best off to use 2 controllers maybe

Hi,
I cant think of a way to run two different lots of Gcode simultaneously on the same controller.

Are the two mill heads co-ordinated with each other?

they'd each have there own work offset ....... we might try with 2 controls and loop an output from control A to B and from B to A so one waits on the other exec.  Or use Expert version .... we would use Galil to control servos

Hi,

Or use Expert version ..
Whats that? There is no 'expert version' to my knowledge, Mach4Hobby is very very similar to Mach4Industrial,
certainly there is no ability to run two instances of Mach simultaneously in either.

There is a product that we call Expert, but it is not something that we have tested or are prepared to support at this time. It is still under development but it will have the ability to run two "instances" of Mach within a single version with M code hand shakes going back and forth to prevent collisions. Such a set up would require two separate motion controllers (in this case, two Galils).
