Setting up Mach4
« on: March 28, 2018, 09:12:39 PM »
Hello- I am new to the art of CNC work, and I'm trying to get my CNC unit set up to make it's initial run.  In the process of downloading and beginning to use the software, I think I have entered incorrect information into the 'Create Profile' pop-up.  I can't seem to figure out how to edit that information.  Can someone point me in the right direction?
I'm sure I'll have more questions in the near future, but for now, I don't yet know what I don't know!
Thanks.
Tommy

Hi,
probably easier to delete it and start again.

To make a new profile especially as you are new to it is to create a uniquely named profile which is a copy of
of one of the standard profiles that ship with Mach4.

Craig, Thank you for the information.  Delete the profile and start again?  How do I find the profile?  I wasn't able to find it with some searching on my own.  Also, where are the standard profiles found, that I can copy?  Again, I appreciate the help as I get started with this machine.

Hi,
when you start Mach4 a window opens to allow you to choose the profile you wish to use for this session. The window has 'Delete' and 'Copy' buttons.

If you want to see the profiles Mach4Hobby/Profiles.
