Windows 10 Closing Mach4
« on: February 22, 2018, 10:03:44 AM »
I have mach4 run on a windows 10 controlling a CNC Router. when I running gcode mach4 will shut down in the middle of a cut. It is just like you clicked the X up in the corner. No errors given, I can click on the mach icon on the desktop and start it back up. Everything working with no errors,  then I run some code and it will close the program again never the same time 1 min maybe 5 min in. Windows is doing this I think. Any help would be great, scraping parts is not fun.

Check to see if Mach4 still recognizes your license as valid. There is a
chance that something happened to change your PCID. The result
would be that Mach4 would run in Demo mode which will shut down
after a few minutes.

Hi,
what flavor Windows 10 do you have? I've heard that Windows 10 Home has automatic Windows Updates which cannot be turned off and if you are running
Mach when your PC wants to update then Mach stops.

I think Steve's suggestion is more likely.
