I have tried using the TEXT facility in the latest LC without success; is it fully implememted?
I entered text, and was instructed to drag out a box and the text would appear in the box.

I could find no way of drawing a box or dragging the text..

Anyone done this yet.

Impressive list of fonts though.

I have used the v2.081 text feature.  Following are the steps that I use.

1)  Load a DXF file.  Any file seems to work.
2)  Select operating mode.  I use the mill mode for my router.
3)  Select the TEXT tab.
4)  Select the font that you want to use.
5)  Enter the text in the input box.
6)  Click on the "Drag Text" box.
7)  Left Click with your mouse in the drawing area.  Create a box by holding a left click and dragging to the opposite corner.
  The entered text should appear in the box.

Your first line said it all for me!!!.
With just wanting to try out the TEXT facility I had completely forgotten to load a file.

Thanks for the memory jog.
Now to try again.
