Tony,
Can’t help you with the probing, I am just familiar with Keyance having used their stuff in the past.
Their laser displacment sensors are so fast they can measure a tuning fork position while vibrating at 20 Khz! So if you get this to work scanning should be really quick compared to moving the Z up and down constantly.

|I have just started some basic experiments , I have set the probe input and added a hot key (p)
when i check in diog the p key works the digitize led so that seems ok.
I am "air cutting" to test the software off machine.
However when I run the wizard code or just run a g31 pressing the p key has no effect?
I have tried it with emulated on and off
Any Ideas??

Hi Tony,
I think you need to have the driver running in Mach for that to work.

Hi Russ,
thanks for the reply, do you mean the motor drives?
Also, if I enter a feedrate of say 300 mmpm when the code is posted it says F300 but only feeds at roughly 20% of that?
and behaves the same what ever feed rate I put in 20%

Regards
  Tony

Good morning Tony.
I meant Mach will not do some things if running in simulation mode without the port driver loaded.

You can losd it from the Mach3 folder.

Give it a try.

Are you simulating ....
On your machine PC set to offline mode ?
Or on a separate pc/laptop ?

I knew I remembered this from somewhere ......

http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,13995.0.html

I also vaguely recall that the driver is disabled when run in "Off Line" mode .... but not certain about that one.

Good luck Tony,
Russ

Got it all going now , software was straight forward and the system for what it cost produces excellent results.
