I DID BUY A BOARD FROM THE US. IT CAME FROM OPENBUILD,
DENNIS

Looking at their website, it doesn't appear that they sell a Mach3 compatible board.
I did the same,  could not find one?   Perhaps the OP needs to post the part number and name of the one he has.  Not everyone has the skill set to build a CNC.

Not everyone has the skill set to build a CNC.

Nor the temperament.

We never have the time or money to do it right the first time, but we somehow manage to do it twice and then spend the money to get it right.

So if this is the board he has?   Link> https://www.banggood.com/4-Axis-USB-CNC-Controller-Interface-Board-CNCUSB-MK1-USBCNC-2_1-Substitute-MACH3-p-1093439.html

I am not sure if Mach3 will work with a straight USB connection without a Driver software of some type.

To the OP, I am 75, I also have some health issues and somewhat limited funds.  I do research and ask questions BEFORE I buy. Saves a lot of money and time.

EDIT.

Software download link removed.

The Banggood supplied board is a knock-off copy of a USBCNC controller board.
The Banggood supplied software provides the associated Pirate license for that board to operate with the USBCNC software.

It works with their own software, which may be a pirated version of some other software.

I highly advise everyone to avoid ALL chinese motion control boards and software. It's well worth the little bit more money to buy from reputable vendors, that support their products.

So what is the cheapest way to get this guy going?
So many of you guys have built many machines, helped
others and so on.
I'm just familiar with gecko, and CNC4PC stuff. Somewhere there
are some suggestions for a LPT board pretty cheap that works.

A UC100 and a C10S breakout board?

But I'd recommend a UC400ETH, for $25 more.

It's going to cost close to $200, unless you use the parallel port.

Hi Bob,

According to forum stats. The OP has returned to the forum (presumably to read this thread) on a daily basis but he has failed to provide any of the information that has been requested by our forum Members that have been trying to help him.

Its a Lot more than $25 difference. The UC100 is $110, the UC400 is $150 plus additional money for the required circuit board to parallel port cable and a gender changer adds another $10 to the cost, they also recommend a cross over direct connect CAT5 cable and that adds another $5.  Just went through all this, and still waiting on the screw terminal connector that was not in the box.
