Mach3 feed rate issue
« on: November 22, 2017, 09:53:46 AM »
Hi,
am not able to change the feed rate in Mach3.
using CUT2D and loading the G code to Mach3 the number under feed rate will change according to the CUT2D file but units/min will always range 113-118 no mater what is the feed rate.
another problem is that green bar of the feed rate is not show in the screen.
what can be done to solve this problem ?

What are your velocity settings in motor tuning, and what is the feedrate in your g-code?

Velocity is 2500.2
Feedrate 1000
Units/Min 34.11
FRO 35.9
FRO%  4
overriden bar is blinking red
no green bar is viable

Hi,
if the Feed Rate Overide is active then the overide bar blinks red. The feed speed is reduced from what you've programmed, 1000 units/min
to a percentage, in your case the FRO is 4% therefore your feedrate is 40 unit/min, close to but not identical to the 34.11 units/min that Mach
calculates. It is not neccessary but it is common for the traverse speed to be affected by the FRO as well, thus your G0 (rapids or traversere) would be
2500.2 x 0.04=100 units/min, there again not quite what Mach calculated but close.

Hit the FRO <reset> and try running the code again.

pressing the reset effect for one line only and back to slow speed..

Hi,
don't know why it might be doing that.

On Config/General Config try experimenting with Feed Rate Overide Persist.
