Command set for NVUM CNC Controllers ?

Hi all,

my question is not about a CNC machine, but about a 6-axis robot. I want to build the robot myself and write my own software to control it.
Now I've found these NVUM CNC controllers:

My question: It's clear that these controllers are designed for MACH3 software. Where can I find a documentation of the command set that these controllers will accept?

One more question. Are there any other controllers available with the following specs:
Input: Serial or USB, with a well documented command set, for selfmade software.
Output: 6 or more channels, pulse and direction signals, and a few inputs for end switches.

Hi,
not a great deal of info about those boards for Mach3 and absolutely nothing about how they work inside, as for programming them forget it.

There are some motion controllers that do have low level programming, probably the most famous and capable is Galill. Be prepared to pay though....a 4 axis
board with analogue enhancements could be $2000-$3000. I believe Vital Systems HICON controller can be programmed as can Dynamotions KFlop.

With the project you have in mind I would say that Galill have the most mature solutions for you.
