Mach 3 China MPG problem
« on: October 19, 2017, 01:34:09 PM »
Hi guys, i built a cnc machining center for aluminum and bought this jog controller:

It works really well, but something really weird happened yersteday.

I was jogging the -z axis to reach the part so i could offset my endmill, my G0 speed is 15m/min,
but i set 10% of jog speed to reach the part, so i can go really slow and touch the part.

So there was i holding the button, suddenly it advanced like if it was in 100% feedrate and crashed
my endmill in the aluminum part, at first i thought i pressed something, but it happened again
some other times... this is really annoying because i am scared of pressing the jog button,
afraid it will crash everytime.

Is a calibration problem ? Does anyone went through something similar ?

Another thing that i would like to point is that the "Single Step" function isn't working.

Does it need to configure this key ?

I couldn't find any manual or anything that would help me with this...

Does anyone here had to configure the single step button, is really annoying having
to change the jog mode in the computer everytime.

I have the same pendant.  First one I got wouldn't work at all.  The vendor told me to send it back for a replacement.  I refused because the freight cost was more than I paid for the pendant.
They sent me another one but it's been problematic since I got it.  My next one will be an IMach, or similar.

I see.. actually the single step button doesn't change the jog mode. I realized it has the same function as my D800 FANUC "Single Block" button.

So this controller doesn't change the jog mode. Sadly..

I'll have to buy another one. Probably one with a wheel.

Hi,
do some homework, not many pendants have Mach4 plugins yet. VistaCNC P1A does,I use it.
