Where did 3468 and 3474 go to
« on: August 12, 2017, 06:09:33 AM »
They wher both on the public dl page and 3468 is referred to in the release notes but they seem to have been replaced by an earlier version

As the where on the download page are they ok to use or do we have to revert?

If they have a problem then why not put a note up to that effect

Just to be sure we are singing from the same hymn sheet I am not referring to the ones one the ftp site

Anyone know if it’s safe to use the ones that have been removed or do I have to back step?

Stuart,
3468 and 3474 have been removed to add more detailed Error messages in case if crashes.
Most likely 3474 will be released soon into production.
I had 3468 stop near the end of a +3Hrs process with an ambiguous error message, in comparison 3390 was/is unbreakable.
Regards,
Mauri.

Thank you very much

It would have been good if Newfangled could have responded or a not on the dl page

Build 3468 and 3474 introduced new features but also an unexpected bug. They were
removed from the released build download area while the bug gets resolved.

Users who loaded these builds should consider reverting to build 3390 for stability.

If you are running customized profiles that have been saved with a new name other
than the default sample names, you can reload build 3390 and your customized profiles
will still be here.

If you are still running with profiles named Mach4Mill, Mach4Mill_6Axis, Mach4Lathe,
or Mach4Router then you should use the Copy Profile function of Mach4Loader to
make a fresh copy of your profile with a new name before reloading build 3390 so
that your profile does not get overwritten.

Thanks Steve

That is the info I was seeking

As I have a custom screen loosely based on the latest screen set I will revert back to the stable ver. Should be no problem as I have done it before ,plus I have a copy licenced on my laptop to do the swap with first so not to mess up the mill

Needless to say both copies are correctly licenced
And yes my screen set has a unique name as does my profile so should be good
Thanks again but I still think that a warning should have been placed on the dl page for those who dl the rouge version from the public page
