Running 3040T with Mach4
« on: July 09, 2017, 09:29:11 AM »
I have purchased the Chinese 3040T 4 axis engraving which came with the T-D Axis Controller. I have since purchased the PoKeys57CNC controller with a view to running the 3040T using Mach4 programme which I have also purchased.
I expected to be able to exchange the control board (labelled JP-382C) in the supplied controller with  the PoKeys57CNC board but unfortunately they are completely different in layout.
PLEASE PLEASE has anyone out their got any ideas on what to do (and don't be rude)

Your JP-382C board is an integrated parallel port breakout board and three
axis motor driver. If you intend to replace it, you will need motor drivers to
go with your PoKeys57CNC board.

On the other hand if you had gotten a PoKeys57CNCDB25 then you could
simply plug it onto the existing JP-382C board and configured Mach4 to
run it.

Information about the pinout of the DB25 inputs to the JP-382C board can
be seen here:
