I’m ready to purchase all the electronics for the conversion of a bench top mill and I have some questions about the Integra 7766, Mach4 and closed loop.
To start with, the things that I care about now are true 3 axis and closed loop- also not having to eat dog food for a year ($)

The next things I’d like to add in the future are 4th axis and spindle control.
The products (relating to my questions) I’m looking at now -
HiCon
Integra 7766Mach4
Leadshine easy servo (NEMA 24
M22430 & NEMA 34
M23440 steppers with integrated encoders)
Leadshine easy servo drivers x3 (
ES-D808)
My questions are-
1- Is there an advantage to using a different driver (without the closed loop monitoring of the ES-D808) and passing the signals straight to the 7766?
1.1- If I use the ES-D808 is there a way to pass have the 7766 and/or Mach4 recognize the closed loop – would I have to re-home after an e-stop for example?
2- Will the 7766 handle the 3 encoder signals from the easy servos “out of the box” (no extra purchasing)?
2.1- Would purchasing INTG-CLOOP change the way encoder signals are handled by the 7766 or information sent to Mach4?
3- Am I missing anything?
Thank you for any help and direction
