Sudden XHC failure?
« on: May 08, 2017, 05:24:28 PM »
So out of the blue my machine stopped today.

Now reports back Find no XHC NCUSBPod,     Machine has been in operation almost two years now.

Do other people have experience with these suddenly frying?

Is there a method to test the card?    Of the two status LEDs on the side one is constant, one is blinking....  both are red.
As far as I can tell from XHC information, blinking means it's either connected or working status...   but it is neither.

Restarting machine, or computer has no effect.

Any leads?   Thanks guys!

Been tinkering with it now...

I tried switching out the USB cable to see if perhaps it was kinked....    When I unplug and replug in...

On Unplugging,
Mach3 first says "Is the Xpod Inserted OK? It has ceased to respond..."

On re-plugging
I get the windows connect sound, that the USB has been inserted.

I press RESET in Mach3, and I will get control of the machine again for a short amount of time   3-10 seconds before machine locks up.
Mach3 reports   "Warning!DeviceResetted! Please ReHome."

But from this point on, machine is frozen, though mach3 will report changing DRO's once I've pressed RESET.

So definitely a Computer sided problem I think?

The only change I did today was connect a pair of bluetooth headphones to windows.    Other than that I didn't really do anything.

Now Art Error 8877...

screw it, I'm just gonna reinstall mach3 I guess.

Maybe even install the 2010 screenset this time.

Edit...

Uninstalled everything... reinstalled... same, but worse crashes.

Installed the newest version from this here website... and it all works.
