registering Mach 4
« on: March 31, 2017, 10:01:06 PM »
I bought a Mach 3 USB board and aregistration number for Mach 4 software through Build Your Own CNC. I submitted the name I had given my computer rather than the Very long PC ID number. How do I get that fixed so The $200 I paid for the registration can be applied to the software?

Mach4 Registration Instructions:

Download the demo version of Mach4 Hobby here
After installation, run Mach4 Mill
Navigate to "Help" tab on the top menu and select "About"
Copy Your PC-ID number and include it in the notes when purchasing or email it to customerservice@buildyourcnc.com with subject line "Mach4 PC-ID for -your name-"
Once we have your PC-ID we will send you the license file that will register your copy of Mach4 and email you the license zip file
After receiving the file containing your license, save the file into a folder on the same computer you have installed Mach4 on.
Open Mach4 Mill and navigate to Help and About again.
Click on "Load License File" and select the license file you have just saved. You will receive a confirmation message that Mach4 is registered and you will be asked to restart your computer.

If you were provided with a Registration Coupon so that you could
acquire your license from the MachSupport.com web site, then you
can just issue a new license yourself by providing the PCID to the
license server.

If BuildYourOwnCNC provided the license file to you, then you will
have to go back to them for corrective action.

In any case, their Mach3 USB Interface Board should not be expected
to run under Mach4.
