How can I add an external emergency stop button besides clicking on the on screen stop button. I am running the Mach3 software.

You will get better help if you provide more details such as what machine you have, BOB (breakuou board), spindle or router etc.

As kolias replied you will need to  post information on your system?
Post links to information.
BUT
The basic question is ............... What do YOU want the Estop to do?

Emergency stop from a safety point of view could function that it shuts down the complete machine by taking power away from
from the machine and the hardware has redundantcy.

Now I use a hard Estop that is different in intent such that it will immediately stops any pulsing from the drive such that
all axes "instantly" stop movement.

State your intended use and info and surely someone will assist.
