Help with a wizard
« on: January 24, 2017, 10:07:02 AM »
Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a wizard for mach3 turn which let me do a rectification of a piece.
What I'd need is to put the starter diameter of the piece, the final diameter and the mm of material taken away with each pass.

There is a similar wizard already in mach3, however after each pass the tool goes back (this is because it's a turn wizard); this doesn't work for me since it takes twice longer to finish the piece.

My question is: is it hard to make a wizard like this? Can I find someone who can do this?

Thanks for any eventual help!

You remove material at a feed rate and return at max velocity. Return pathing is only a small portion of the  total time, thus, should not take twice as long.
Not sure you need something special.

Everything takes time............
Maybe someone will offer up assistance for free or at a cost for doing one.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, twice was an exaggeration, however it takes longer than intended because of that.
Another problem that it causes is that the grinding wheel gets consumed only on one side of the radius, and not both.

I don't need anything special, just the same wizard that is already in mach3, but with no return after each roughing pass and that works with both sides of the wheel (one pass left to right/ the another one right to left and so on).

If someone is willing to help, even at a price, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks.
