Another new guy here...
Why won't the flashing red reset button go off when I click it?
No project loaded, just want to jog my motors...

because something is telling mach it is not possible to come out of reset.

check  stop buttons, power to breakout board, connections, look at settings screen to see if any led's are on etc.

Thanks Dave -

I'm still real green at this.  What is happening is...  When I turn on M3 I get both a green LED and a blue LED on my UC-100 plug going to the break out board.  But when I turn on my controller box, the blue LED (which is the comm light) - it goes out.  Then I get an error msg on my screen that says "Lost connection to the connection to the controller.

Sounds like you have a USB issue, maybe even an earth-loop, was this machine running or is it new???

everything is new..

I have disconnected all the limit switches thinking that maybe I had wired them wrong..  Still get the blue light going out when I power on my controller.

The fact that the led goes out / comms is lost when you turn on the controller seems to tell me there is a fault loop somewhere.

If you disconnect the UC100 from the board, does the LED stay on?
Disconnect all the inputs/outputs from the board then power up, does the led stay on?

if you can get the pc/m3 communicating ok to the UC/BOB ok, then try connecting just the E-Stop circuit, then test, then gradually build up until it fails.

Sounds like a plan.  I'll do that and let you know what I find.

I can't thank you enough for your input.
