5th and 6th axis with Pokeys 57cnc and Mach3?
« on: October 03, 2016, 11:40:20 PM »
Walking through my initial setup now of the 57cnc and Mach3.  I am not seeing any documentation on how to configure the use of axis B and C in the Pokeys plugin of Mach3.

Am I missing something or is the 57cnc and Mach3 limited to only 4ch (4 axis) <-Lame!.  Hopping its not because I use all 6 axis on my machine now with Mach3.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Took your advise and opened a support ticket.  A few actually....sorry Pokeys guys.

To answer my own question.  No, Pokeys 57cnc only has 4ch active.  The 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th on the card are not so usable with Mach3.

However, via my support tickets I have been informed that the Pokeys team is now working on implementing the 5th and 6th axis control (pulse engines) and will be updating the Mach3 plugin within a few weeks.

This is great news!  Mach3 runs up to 6 axis and having a card like the 57cnc to control those 6 axis will be a nice feature.

they are working hard on keeping the 57cnc up to date for mach4 and Auggie plus adding stuff for Mach3, but the info on the board is a bit behind

We now have a test version of the new Mach3 plugin with 6 axes supported. It will be released in a matter of a week or so after doing more tests.
