CSMIOIP-A with linear scales....settings
« on: September 26, 2016, 01:38:14 PM »
i need help with the linear scales settings.

i use heidenhain linear scales  and spindels with 5mm pitch with a 1:6.6 transmisson.

how is the right setting ?

1.  ? 500 x 5 / 6,6=379?

and

2. 500 (with this setting is 1mm  on the  DRO   1mm on the dial gauge)

or is setting 1 only for the index signal?

You need to find out how many pulses per mm the scales are.

there are 500 pluses per mm on the scales (5µm). testet with  dial gauge and  hand wheel.

i mailed with cs labs, and the setting in the index frame is only for the indexing. i was thinking, the setting in the index menu is important for the pid tuning/servo drive..

the only one setting for scales is in the mach motor tuning and setup menu.

i reversed the scales in den the cs labs menu,  but i think, i can`t reverse the servo in the mach3 settings, so i reverse today the analog servoe input for PID tuning.

now it runs..

G0 Y+1 is 1mm on the dial gauge.

the servo positoning isn`t perfekt with the old trapezoidal spindle, but it runs.
