G-Rex Network problem
« on: May 27, 2007, 02:08:05 PM »
Hey everybody,
I have been trying to setup my G-Rex but something is wrong. I first started to use the USB and GRexTester.exe this worked fine. After that I loaded the new firmware to use with Mach3 (G100_DLP_3720_770402.bin and top_s50_08_070323.xsvf). The G-Rex is connected with a crosslink cable and the IP address of my computer is set to 169.254.0.1.

The status off the LAN is giving connected until I start mach at that point it starts turning on and off (giving the message “a network cable unplugged”)

The status in mach is switching between “rebooting “, “please wait g100 init” and “g100 found” over and over again.

What can be wrong? Please advise?

Thanks in advance,

Martijn

Hey Martijn,
You may have some Network issues. With the help of some of the guys here, I got it sorted. Can you ping your G100?

Hello Brett,

The ping command to my grex is giving a response and looks normal.
Only when Mach3 is started the problem starts and not all requests are replyed.
