3x Parallel Ports with Mach3 (ESS)
« on: June 22, 2016, 07:46:56 PM »
Hi there,
The Ethernet Smoothstepper has 3x Parallel ports, and I need to interface all three for I/O with Mach3; I don't think I can fit it on 2x Parallel ports.
I've connected ports 1 and 2 to the PMDX-126, and the third to an additional PMDX I/O board.

How do I setup the extra (3rd) parallel port in Mach3?

Many thanks in advance,
Dan

I believe you need the ribbon cable for the ESS and another BOB to tie into.

It is setup in the plugin, you need to go to the warp9 website and work through the information there, as basically all functionality comes through the plugin which means some of the stuff on the mach3 setup screens is redundant as it is only functional for the parallel ports

Stuff like backlash on the mach3 config screen, pulse width settings on the motor tuning page, and the check boxes for port1 and port2 on the ports and pins page have no effect.
