Cutter Radius Compensation Error
« on: April 14, 2016, 05:47:01 AM »
Dear all,

I am using Mach3 Software in a Hot Wire Cutting Machine and the Mach3 is installed in a PC with Windows 7, 32 bit.

When the GCode loads, for most GCode programs  I am getting the following message: "Tool Radius greater than approach Line xx”.

I have attached the GCode for the MDP 41/4 which is loads without any error and the GCode for the MDP 20/4 loads with the above mentioned error.

Thank you very much for your time.

Best  regards,
George

Which version of Mach3 are you using ?

(Strange one this because I can run both versions of your Gcode without error).

There have been a number of reports of problems with v.066 posted on this and other forums.
May I suggested that you install v0.62 and then see if that resolves the problem you are seeing.

(I am currently using v.057)

If I recall correctly, cutter radius should be smaller than the length of the of the travel. Compensation is applied during the lead in.
Lead in start point must be proper relative to tool travel. If not right a warning is given.

Haven't looked at your code and it may a bug of v0.66 which as stated is not recommended.
