Mach 3 / lazy cam / tool table
« on: May 15, 2007, 10:18:39 AM »
Hi all  :)

Am new to the would of CNC machines and I need some help with lazycam and the tool table with in the mach 3 program

I have Mach 3 Version / R2.0.0.48  and the new version/beta of lazy cam 2.0

The problem am having is with the tool table section from mach3 software

Do I need to fill this in with the tools I own ? and then within lazy cam I can selection the tools for the right work i.e inside and outside cutting plus making holes and so four?

Example
Tool 0   =  1.5mm
       1   =  2.5mm
       2    =  3mm
       3    =  4mm

Is this right above ? plus when doing the g-code from lazycam will the mach 3 software stop for tool change when needed

Hope someone can shed some light on this

Thanks very much

simon

Hello Simon,
You need to offset the path the rad of the tool in Lcam pro and you will not need to tell mach3 anything about the tool that you are going to use :)
