Z limit switch triggered
« on: January 22, 2016, 11:38:52 AM »
Hello all,
I'm having some trouble with the z axis limit switch being triggered when i start a toolpath. I set my home limits. everything is fine. When i start a toolpath the spindle moves up untill it hits the limit switch, stops and then i have to press reset to continue the toolpath. I tried debounce up to 5000 with no luck. This has only been happening for about a month now.
Any help would be appreciated.

Al

Your g-code is probably sending it into the switch. Probably with a G43.

Thanks
I notice 1 of first lines has a G43 H1 Z.25
How do I correct this?

Are you using tool length offsets? If not, delete the line.

I tried deleting that line.
The toolpath doesn't even make it to that line. It trips the limit switch on the preperation move.
I went back over some previous items and they all have a line with G43.
At a loss still.

What preparation move? Something in your g-code?
Sounds like your g-code is just telling the Z to go too high. Probably a setting in your CAM software.

What is the lenght of the tool in your tool table?
